What do we do?


We recruit for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life science industries.

We were the first company to specialise in recruitment for this sector – over 30 years ago – and we remain at the forefront of healthcare recruitment today.

We have a staff of over 20, and our clients range from start-up organisations to major multinationals.

How do we operate?


Professionalism and flexibility are our keynotes. We are well experienced in both search and advertised selection. For advertising, we make extensive use of specialist journals and the internet. Reinforcing these is our TalentBank®, which is a powerful database resource of healthcare executives and specialists actively interested in advancing their careers on the open market.

Search and press advertising are provided on an exclusive, retained basis. TalentBank searches are provided on a contingency (no appointment, no fee) basis.

The strategy, or combination of strategies, we adopt for any particular assignment depends upon the nature of the appointment, the likely availability of suitable candidates, the relative importance of speed versus cost versus quality, and client preference.

At what level do we operate?


We handle retained assignments at salaries above about £40,000 to the most senior corporate levels. Two-thirds of our business last year related to appointments in the £50,000-£100,000 range.

We handle TalentBank assignments for positions carrying salaries within the approximate range £25,000-£100,000, with the majority falling in the range £30,000-£60,000.

What is our geographical coverage?


Most of our assignments are carried out on behalf of clients in the UK & Continental Europe, but we also work directly in the USA and other overseas markets. We have recruited for positions in some 30 different countries.

What else do we do?

  • Provide Interim Managers for senior appointments.
  • Recruit Non-Executive Directors, mainly to biotechnology and emerging companies.
  • Provide Leadership, Management and Organisational Development courses and consultancy.
