Background
|
Our client is a well respected Medical Communications agency. They are specialists within brand strategy and strategic planning, public and corporate affairs and medical writing.
Our client has recently experienced strong growth and are now looking to recruit Account Managers and also Account Executives to assist in the continued development of the company and the management of their clients.
The Account Manager will be responsible for new business development and manage existing clients and the Account Exec will work closely with the Account Managers to ensure that all expectations by the client are met. They will also work with the Client Development Director to ensure projects are completed to deadline and handle any issues that may transpire.

The Job
|
Account Manager:
- You will identify new business leads coordinate new business pitches and act as the primary liaison with new business prospects.
- You will be responsible for developing and expanding business opportunities beyond established accounts and moving into a wider range of bio/pharmaceutical clients. * You will work with the top 10 Pharmaceutical and mid-tier companies across the EU, UK and possibly the US.
- You will oversee the start up of meetings, project and handover, maintaining client relationships and attending on-site meetings as necessary to further develop relationships and business.
- You will be able to develop solutions and proposals to client issues and RFPs.
- Must be a highly skilled sales person with evidence of strong relationship building skills, working effectively as a team player across multiple business units, and with senior level relationships within the healthcare industry.
- Must have strong leadership skills and able to develop, motivate, influence and inspire colleagues to achieve business goals.
Account Executive
- You will support the sales activities of the Account Manager.
- You will provide knowledge management of what is happening in the industry to the Account Manager and Client Services Director.
- You will work directly with the healthcare clients and work in harmony with the team members from our client to ensure project continuity and success.
- You will develop leads and pass to the Account Manager.
- You will be the central point for quality of customer service to your clients.
For both roles:
- Must have an in depth understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry requirements and expectations of a Medical Communications agency.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills.
- Must be creative, proactive and resourceful.
- Must have a high customer service focus.

Candidate Requirements
|
- A sales background within the healthcare medical communications agency industry, a proven record of experience in a client service or business development role within pharmaceuticals.
- Proven track record of sales.
- An undergraduate degree required. Business or scientific discipline preferred.
