Background

Our client is a leading international biopharmaceutical company, with significan discovery and development expertise and has proven success in the commercialisation of its products through out-licensing.

As the company's development pipeline matures, projects have of course become more complex thus necessitating a greater level of project management support. One of their lead products will be entering Phase III this year and as such requires ongoing key operational project management support to ensure that the project is managed effectively.

This is an entirely new role and therefore one in which you can step in and make your own individual mark.


The Job

You will provide pivotal organisational support to the project team. Reporting directly into the Development Group Head your key responsibilityes will include:

* Generating project plans and ensuring that they are kept up to date

* Monitoring and chasing progress of activities

* Acting as the point of contact with contractors

* Ensuring that the project team and sub team minutes are genearted, circulated and reviewed

* Ensuring effective coordination between project subgroups and external partners


Candidate Requirements

Ideally, you will have the following experience and personal qualities:

* First degree or equivalent in science or technology

* Project planning experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO or devices environment

* Strong understanding of the drug development process, of late phase clinical trials, and of regulatory requirements

* Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, ie. GMP

* Outstanding organisation and communication skills.
